Sweet Nell’s fabulous Pecan Toffee is a treasured family recipe handed down from mother to son. “Sweet Nell” is the adoring name Sharisse’s husband, David, used to call his mother when he was a young boy. Sharisse’s mother-in-law, Mary Evelyn, has been making this “to die for” toffee for special friends and family in Texas for many years. She always got the same feedback, “This is the best toffee I have ever tasted. You should sell this!”
Sharisse has enjoyed making desserts and experimenting with recipes since she was a young girl. After tasting many other toffees, she realized that none other compares to her family’s delicious Pecan Toffee recipe.
Sharisse has always had an entrepreneurial spirit, and one of her dreams was owning her own candy business. After being a stay-at-home mom for seven years, she decided to join the millions of moms who own their own business. She launched Sweet Nell’s, and the response has been astounding.
She makes her toffee and confections in small batches at a commercial kitchen to ensure the homemade taste. “The flexibility of owning my own business allows me to focus on what’s really important in my life-my family,” says Sharisse.
One of Sharisse’s favorite creations is Candy Toffee, which is her decadent toffee topped with rich chocolate and candy coated chocolate pieces instead of pecans. She wanted to create a special toffee that children would love, but soon found out it’s a favorite among adults, too! This colorful toffee is available only at Sweet Nell’s.
“I have really enjoyed learning the business of candy making. I’m very particular about our products, and there’s no greater reward than delivering the freshest, highest-quality candy. It’s the perfect, unique gift!”
